I'm Annie Jones, owner of the bookshelf, an independent bookstore in beautiful downtown Thomasville, Georgia.

And today I'll be recapping my favorite books of 2015.

Before we get started, I did want to offer you two

different ways you can support both the bookshelf and the podcast. The first is by subscribing

to the bookshelf's weekly newsletter. So each week I compile kind of what is happening in the shop,

ways you can support the bookstore. So this is a perfect newsletter,

especially if you are a local listener. It gives you up-to-day information about all the happenings

going on at the bookshelf. So in a couple of weeks, we're having a book club fair. We've got an

author event this week. So all kinds of fun things happening. And I'd love if you would subscribe

to that newsletter and keep up with everything going on at the bookshelf. If you are a far away

listener, that newsletter might not be for you. Instead, I've got another newsletter that features

little essays that I write, plus reading recaps just like you get here on the podcast, plus my

favorite findings from around the internet. So I will post a link to both of those. The first is the

bookshelf newsletter, and then the second is called conveniently from the front porch, and it's just

essays and reading recaps, so a little bit more personal and a little less bookstore related.

So it's perfect for long distance listeners.

doing here on the podcast.
