the Kamala Harris campaign, which I followed very closely. And I followed closely the abundance

agenda take on it. Like, I'm thinking about Matthew Iglesias in particular. He, in addition to Jonathan

shade, he was praising this campaign again and again. He was one of the speakers and biggest

supporters of this group called Yimbies for Harris, where they were like, you know, she was one of the speakers and biggest supporters of this group called Yimbys for Harris,

where they were like, you know, she was running on the kind of exact granular zoning reform

that they want, which I don't mostly have a problem with, but it is kind of probably not a

compelling issue to be like the center of the campaign.

Matt Iglesias said that his biggest problem with Kamala Harris

was that he thought that she should be more permissive on like Bitcoin regulation,

cryptocurrency. Like she ran the exact neoliberal campaign that these d-bags love. And there's no world where, like, she was thinking

about getting rid of Lena Kahn because Reid Hoffman, who is one of the main upon its agenda

Silicon Valley funders because, you know, he hated her. None of these tech guys want to be regulated.

And it's, it's so much gaslighting that these dudes are now trying to be like,

oh, yeah, look, look what the left did, making Kamala Harris lose. Like, she ran their campaign.

We know that Iglesias was literally the most listened to pundit in the Biden White House that

was printed in the Washington Post. Like, these guys own that failure.

I know I've said this on the podcast, but I was really so triggered by this particular date. I swear to I went out with someone who I, I just, I brought that up, like, very casually, as everybody knows that Kamala Harris ran the centrist campaign of the centrist's dreams. And he was like, what do you mean? Like, what do you mean? Like, that's not true.

That's not true. She did what the left did. This is why I'm so triggered by this topic. And this is why I keep coming back to it. The TPP argument back at the time was that Clinton was seen as lying about it

because she had been so aggressively supportive of TPP, like a year before the campaign started. And when the wind shifted,

not because, quote unquote, the left pushed her left, yes, Bernie opposed TPP, but so did Trump.

Trump being critical of TPP, what was what made it, you know, a political hot potato and why she

backed away from it. So again and again throughout this piece,
