Hello and welcome to the long-form podcast. I'm Evan Ratliffe, Max Linsky and Aaron Lammer,

or the other two co-hosts of the show. They're with me now. Hey, hey guys, how are you? Evan,

who's on the uh, who's on the program? There's a lot going on in this week's episode. My guests

are Bradley Hope and Tom Wright, uh, who were both, uh, highly regarded reporters for the Wall Street

Journal. They wrote a book together a few years ago called The Billion Dollar Whale, which is about

a massive fraud in Malaysia and one of the guys behind it, whose name is Joe Lowe, who is still on

the run to this day. But in the past year, they have left the Wall Street Journal, started their own

independent journalism outfit, which is called Project Brazen, and it produces, uh, newsletters,

documentaries, podcasts. They have a show, a podcast that I really liked called Fat Leonard,

that's about a guy who single-handedly corrupted large parts of the American Navy. They have one

just out called Karina and the King, which is about an affair that brought down the King of Spain.

They're putting out a lot of stuff at the same time. Bradley also has a new book out himself,

which is about a guy who tried to undermine slash overthrow the North Korean government called

the rebel in the kingdom. So there's a lot of names coming at you. We covered a lot of stuff. I

basically wanted to know how are they juggling all this at the same time. And it was fun to talk

to them. One thing to remember Bradley is the one with the American accent. Tom is the one with

the British accent. That is the kind of guidance that I need. Just simplify it for me in this manner.

It's great. It's also great timing for a show about a former billionaire on the run.

Like this is, uh, I assume that you booked it before the events the last couple weeks, but

very, very exciting. I have, uh, enthusiastically followed the Joe Low story for many years.

This sounds like a, uh, somehow hour-long lightning round interview. Truly.
