brother-in-law. Hi, I'm Raina Hunter Vasquez. Hi, I'm John Paul Vasquez. This week,

we're broadcasting live from the attic of the Cotton House discussing the 1987 supernatural

horror classic, Hellraiser. This film was written and directed by Clive Barker based on his

novella, The Hellbound Heart, which was released the year prior. After disappointment with

previous adaptations of his work,

Hellraiser marked the directorial debut for Barker and was released to box office success despite

mixed critical reception. The film would go on to spawn a franchise with nine sequels of varying

quality, all featuring the iconic leader of the Cinebites, who had come to be known as Pinhead.
