We were all kind of curious because we had a bad, bad finish to the preseason, obviously, losing to Brentford, losing to Chelsea and losing the city. But we got some signings done. The window closed, and we start the new season with a win, and Spurs get hammered by Crystal Palace 3-0. I have a sneaky suspicion that

by the time we beat Spurs in the Derby in a couple of weeks, we will actually be ahead of them or level with them in the table. More on that, Anon. I kid, but I don't look. Like, the first three games sucked. We know why they suck. For some people, it's forgivable. For some people, it's totally inexcusable.

But we did get a win,

and I think it is important to enjoy it when you can.

I think we are in an up and down moment for the club, and when you're up, be up, if you can. But I think there is a difference between your emotional reaction to winning and your analysis of a performance. And so what we will try to do today, as we always try to do, is really enjoy having one and

the things enjoyable about it and really analyze the various aspects of the game.

And I do sort of feel like there's a game of two-habs kind of opportunity here that we can

discuss the two halves because they were quite different.

We had multiple debuts from new signings, which was fun, not debuts, but appearances,

some debuts. So there's that to get excited about too. Just a couple of quick housekeeping notes.

Look, we are over our goal for our fundraiser, but the goal wasn't to stop there. The goal was to smash it.
