fundraiser. This is the Arsenal Vision post-match podcast. My name is Ellie Smith,

Blackman, Twitter, Yankee Gunner. You know, it is, it is absolutely the case that when things are a bit shit on the pitch, we tend to, well, let's just say it, shit on each other, right? Social media gets a bit spiky. The podcast can get a bit spiky. It's all a little bit difficult. And seeing is how it's a difficult enough time in the world, you can understand how the discourse can deteriorate.

But the funny thing is, like, fundamentally,

while social media can be a bit of a mess, actions speak a hell of a lot louder than words.

And the actions of so many of you, hundreds of you, have spoken because, and we will continue this all month. As you know,

last week on this day, at this time, we announced a fundraiser for the Arsenal Foundation.

And our prior fundraiser had been 10,000 pounds. So we set out to double that. Our goal was to hit

20,000 pounds. Now, candidly, I had no idea, you know,

achievable, not achievable, who knows. Well, we are now one week later at 106% to that goal with 21,2

222 pounds at the time of recording this. And, you know, I'm not going to go on and on about it.

The fact is, it's just incredible. It means the world. You know, I said we're going to thank everybody individually, and we're going to do that. I'm going to take a minute now to scroll through a few people. Now, here's the thing. There's over 600 people. It's going to take a lot of podcast to get to everybody. But Tim DeLap, Jack Schoffler, Julian Wallinger, Jim Clark, will ACCO. I'm going to go on just a little bit longer. You can fast forward if you want,

We're going to get to more people. The point is like everybody deserves to be thanked for this and we will get to doing that. I just feel like really fortunate to be in a position where we can do something like that. obviously we gave our share and thank you to so many of you who did as well. And this will run all months. So we can continue to do this, smash the goal, help the Arsenal Foundation and do something positive at a time when a lot of us are doing that sort of stick gif thing of the guy poking at the thing on the ground saying, do something to Arsenal the pitch, but we're doing something off the pitch, and that's important.
