The gunmen were inspired by Islamic State ideology after police say they found a pair of homemade Islamic State flags in a car belonging to one of the suspects.

Authorities have identified them as a father and son.

The 50-year-old father was fatally shot at the scene.

The 24-year-old son suffered critical injuries

and is currently in the hospital. Additionally, Australian police say they are investigating a

recent trip. Authorities say the two suspects took to the Philippines to receive, quote, military-style

training.

Well, yeah, I mean, where's that guy been?

I mean, Pete Hegseth of 2016 makes a ton of sense, and now he's proven to be the most

unqualified Secretary of Defense we've ever had. I still have not been notified by the Department

of Defense or the United States Navy. It has been, I've actually heard nothing. We do some to see some stuff

on social media from time to time.

So, Senator, have you been asked to, say, turnover documents, just trying to get to the bottom,

whether this is an actual investigation, or is it like a social media campaign?

It's probably the latter, at least for now. And this is escalation, right? They say something about a command

investigation without even explaining what that is. And by the way, I found out about that from the

new press corps at the Pentagon, which consists of Matt Gates and the Pizza Gate conspiracy guy

that now work over there. So that's how we hear about this stuff.

So, you know, from my perspective, it doesn't seem, you know, very serious.
