So as many of you in the world of trauma know, Dr. Cotton is very well known for his research endeavors.

Looking back at the last 10, 12 years in terms of the trauma literature, what are a couple of the major advances that we've seen?

And then I'd love to hear your thoughts on whole blood and maybe run through the potential benefits of that as another tool in our toolkit

So, you know, I think it was a recognition that our patients weren't bleeding saline.

Our patients weren't bleeding just red cells.

Our patients were bleeding whole blood.

And even if we weren't able to get to

whole blood initially, we had to get back to as close to that as we could. And so that's where

really began the one-to-one-to-one therapy. And when starting to add back the plasma and platelets,

and actually there was a presentation here at East this week, which I found I was glad to see it,

but I was also kind of ashamed to see it but I was also

kind of ashamed to see it because it was don't forget the platelets which to me was like

no kidding of course that's the other part why are we forgetting platelets that's that shouldn't
