The Hello and welcome to the Thinking Elsat Podcast, this is Ben Olson in Washington DC and with me here today is Nathan Fox in

0:28.0

San Francisco how you doing Nathan I'm great this is episode five already can't believe how quickly we're

0:35.4

racking them up yeah no this is fun so I guess just jumping right in you found an interesting our kind of funny article today right

0:47.2

You want to tell us a little bit about it? I did yeah well we're going to talk about two things

0:51.1

We're going to talk about this article that I found online because I think it really

0:55.3

applies to one else at concept that is important I think we can talk about and then after

1:01.8

that we're going to talk about my student Lisell who has

1:06.0

applied this cycle to eight or nine ten schools and she's waiting she's really kind of trying to decide what to do.

1:14.0

So I have all the schools where she got in and how much scholarships she got and

1:20.0

a bunch of questions from her about where she should go.

1:23.0

So we'll dive into that, I guess, after we talk about this article.

1:29.5

1:58.3

And I just thought that that was really applicable to the L-SAT because kind of contrary to something we talked

2:06.9

about in the last episode. In episode 4 we had Larkin on and Larkin was a great

2:11.6

guest but one thing that he said that I think you and I have been we had Larkin on and Larkin was a great guest.

2:12.6

But one thing that he said that I think you and I have been both

2:15.4

disagreed about a little bit is he was emphasizing

2:18.8

how a great education is almost necessary in order to do well on the test.

2:25.0

And I expressed a bit of skepticism about that because I don't consider myself to have a really terrific education

2:36.0

and I've done quite fine. I think it's that skepticism is exactly what has made me do well.
