Summary

On this week's show I'm joined by Philippe Auclair to get his thoughts on the early stages of the Unai Emery regime, the various conundrums the manager has got to contend with, Lacazette and Aubameyang, Ozil and Ramsey, and the club's contract wranglings which see players more and more often reach the final 12 months of their deals. There's a particular focus on Aaron Ramsey after yesterday's news about his situation, and more, as well as a good dollop of the usual waffle.

Hello and welcome to a brand new R-Splug R-Scast right here on R-Splug.com. How are you? Hope you're

0:26.8

well. Hope you've had a good week since last week we spoke Arsenal one that usually helps, doesn't it?

0:32.8

When Arsenal win, it goes some way to making your week in general a bit better. So hopefully everybody is

0:39.8

in is in reasonable form as we head into another Premier League weekend looking ahead to a game against

0:45.1

Watford, our fourth home game in a row. My week, if you want to know anything about it, has been,

0:52.0

how shall I put this? Chumpy. Chumpy is about the best word I can use to describe the week that I've had.

1:00.4

If you follow me on Instagram, Instagram.com.4 slash R-Splug, you will be fairly aware of what's happened.

1:08.8

I'll try and explain it to you here. A new puppy arrived in this as well didn't arrive. We got the

1:14.9

puppy. We went and got the puppy and the puppy has been here since last May or April. Anyway, she's,

1:21.3

she's great and she's a lovely little dog, but she's in that phase of her life where things that

1:27.6

are on the ground end up in our mouth. So it could be like a dog toy, it could be a jumper, it could be

1:33.4

a slipper, it could be a shoe, it could be a stick. And you know, you have to be careful about what you

1:38.9

leave lying around. It's your own fault if you leave something valuable on the ground when you've

1:44.1

got a puppy because chances are the puppy's going to have a good chew on it, right? So earlier in the

1:50.4

week, I was looking for my glasses, couldn't find my glasses. I went to a well-known optician because

1:58.0

you get two pairs for the price of one because I've got a pair upstairs and a pair downstairs. Or if I

2:04.5

need to bring a pair into my studio with me, I bring the downstairs pair and I always have my upstairs

2:09.4

pair here anyway, but I couldn't find the downstairs pair anywhere. I thought maybe I'd put them

2:13.6

somewhere. It's not, you know, I'm terrible for leaving things down and forgetting where I've put

2:17.6

them, but you know, I looked in all the usual places, bedside table, in the bathroom, on the shelves,

2:24.7

could not find them anywhere at all. So I've been, you know, using my upstairs pair all week so I can

2:30.8

see and read things. And then the other night I went to bed and I got a new pair of earphones,
