now that it has been solved. And even though part one was already a long one, I feel like we have

So with that, we're just going to get right into it.

So while the investigation into the Austin Yogurt Shop murders was ongoing, there were also

some problems in the Austin Police Department, mostly in the more like mid to

late 90s. And these affected the investigation. In the summer after the murders, a new chief of

police entered the scene, Elizabeth Betsy Watson. And I mentioned her at the very end of part one.

She was basically hired in secret by the city manager, so the APD officers in general

were not happy.

And she basically appointed or had one of her officers, Bruce Mills, reassigned the main detective on the

case who had been working on it this whole time, John Jones, to a different division and

bring someone else into the Austin Yogurt Shop runners.
