Oh, Hello, welcome to another episode of Lines Love by Donkeys Podcast. I am your host Joe and with me today is Rich.

0:28.0

Hi guys.

0:30.0

And Rich is going to this one completely cold, which is interesting.

0:35.0

I literally have zero clue what we're talking about today,

0:39.0

and Joe refuses to tell me, I'm not sure if that's a good thing or bad thing.

0:43.4

Both. So this is going to be interesting for both of us because your grandfather was a

0:50.3

pretty highly decorated Vietnam veteran wasn't he? I want to see you're right with

0:55.8

Vietnam that sounds right I know that he was a retired sergeant major who is a green berry in the 60s, we're going to assume he went to NAM.

1:05.2

Yeah, yeah, for sure. Okay, so yeah, he was Special Forces, retired as a Sergeant Major and

1:57.6

the student protest movement during the Vietnam War and more specifically we're going to be talking about the shooting at

2:04.9

Kent State.

2:07.7

And full disclosure, the SDS which I talk about in length, my stepfather was a full-fledged member of the SDS and did several direct actions with them.

2:19.0

So if I did my best to sound as neutral as possible, but it's kind of hard. So call me out if you really want to, it's fine.

2:30.9

I mean, you're not exactly a neutral podcast, so I wouldn't be too worried about that.

2:35.0

I don't know what you're talking about.

2:37.0

And so in order to get to what we're talking about today so you have never heard of the

2:43.6

Kent State shooting. Okay so I want to say I've heard of it. Is it is it where the
