1:00.0	November 19th entitled Law and Strategy in an Era of Evolving Threats. The panel was
1:06.8	one of several terrific discussions at the conference and dealt with law and
1:10.7	strategy in the executive branch. It featured Jeremy Bash, former chief of staff to
1:16.6	the CIA director and secretary of defense, Robert Bauer, former White House
1:21.8	counsel, Andrew Weissman, former general counsel to the FBI, and Michael Leiter,
1:27.7	former director of the National Counterterrorism Center. It was moderated by NYU Law
1:33.9	Professor Stephen Holmes. Welcome back to the second panel of the day and this
1:40.8	one is on law and strategy in the executive branch. The rules are going to be
1:46.1	each of the four speakers are going to take five minutes to introduce a point of
1:51.0	view and then we'll have some back and forth up here and eventually you'll be
1:55.4	able to join in. There'll be no kissing on this panel. That's I think the
1:59.3	main change from last time and we're going to end promptly at 1 o'clock. Okay, so in
2:10.6	the order in which they're going to speak, I'm going to be very brief. It's all
2:13.5	their bios, of course, or in your hands. Jeremy Bash, the only Obama administration
2:19.2	official to be chief of staff to two national security agencies, the CIA and the
