detectives and adventures at the racetrack. The Sport of Kings provides the

backdrop for these mysteries, tales involving jockeys, gamblers, and

murder.

Up first is Bulldog Drummond in Death Plays the Races, originally aired on Mutual on May 20th, 1946.

The show is also known as Death at the Races and Death Rides a Racehorse. A jockey calls Captain Drummond to ask for the gentleman

detective's help. But before Drummond and his sidekick Denny can speak to

him, the man is killed in the middle of a race.
