Up first is Lodd Clark as Nick Carter, Master Detective.

Carter made his first appearance in print in 1886,

about a year before Arthur Conan Doyle introduced Sherlock Holmes.

Carter made his way to the big screen and eventually to radio in one of the era's longest

running detective shows. And unlike other long running longest running

mystery programs.

Lon Clark held the role of Nick Carter for the entire run of the series

from 1943 until 1955. Today we'll hear the case of the

priceless prose originally aired on Mutual on December 14th, 1947.

Charlotte Manson co-stars as Patsy Bow and Nick's loyal secretary
