Unfortunately, Andrea is very sick with some sort of weird virus flu thing that has gotten her whole family down bad and she has been fighting really hard against it.

So everybody please send Andrea your well wishes.

And today is just going to be me.

But we have a very harrowing case today.

It's very heartbreaking, but something pretty incredible came of it.

So with that, let's just get into it. In 2006, an unprecedented resource was created to allow the public to identify and access data about sex offenders nationwide.

The Drew Shadine National Sex Offender Public website, NSOPW was signed into law by President George

Bush in 2006 as a result of Drew's law. Legislation created after 22-year-old Drew

Shadine was kidnapped and murdered by a serial rapist who had been released from prison

despite being classified as a level three sex offender,

meaning he was likely to re-offend.

Drew's death led to this resource being created, making a safer world for so many.

So let's talk about Drew's case, who she was, and how we got here.

Drew Katrina Shadine was born on September 26, 1981 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, where she lived

with her brother Sven, her father, Alan, and her mother, Linda.

Drew was strong in academics and also had a bubbling social life.
