The key difference here that a lot of people don't really understand is that, yes, when you go on a ketogenic diet, you're a better fat burner, but there's a cost to that.

You are not as good at oxidizing carbs.

So fat oxidation goes up by two or threefold, but carb oxidation goes down by the same fold, two to threefold.
