This was a check-in, I guess. Hi, Biz. Hi, Shirley. Hi.

Hi. So this morning, I took the day off from work because it's the day after Halloween.

We were going to be up a little later than intended, but that's just how it goes.

My daughter could sleep in a little bit, she's five and a half.

That way she doesn't have to get dropped off at daycare and then go to kindergarten, like normally do.

Works so early. She can sleep in. We can have breakfast together. She can go to kindergarten.

I get a few hours to myself. It's going to be great. Never happens.

It didn't happen. We started to go to school and there was a fire truck.

Everybody's fine. No fire. There's a hot smell in the school and then they called the HVAC people

to come check on it. Well, right before we pulled in, I realize we'd forgotten her backpack.

So I guess it's partially a failed tooth. Okay, we live 15 minutes away from the school.

One way. We'll go back. Get the backpack. Come back. See how it's going. We do. We get back to the

school. Oh, we have an idea to send a message out yet that the HVAC people said it's not safe

to start school yet. They have to have more time to look into it. So no school today.

And now we're home together. And you know, it's fine. That's how it goes. But
