live from the Bates High School showers discussing the 1976 horror classic, Carrie. This film was

directed by Brian De Palma with a screenplay written by Lawrence D. Cohen based off of Stephen King's

first novel. De Palma utilizes the supernatural themes in King's novel without devaluing

the important messages of humanity, religious zealotry, isolation, and even womanhood. Although it

received mixed reviews upon release, Carrie has become a beloved classic horror staple. This film was the

So, what did you guys think of Carrie the first time you saw it?

I've seen this movie through a few times.

I can't really pinpoint the exact time I seen it the first time. But I do always remember, and I feel like for some reason, it's always on TV. Or it is. Yeah. No joke. Like I always catch a bit of it and I'll stop and watch it. Or I'll like, okay. All right. And then, you know, go about my business or whatever.

But I do like the movie.

I just, I can't, I don't remember.

I know I was younger.

It was probably a teenager, which I probably should have watched it earlier as a kid.

But, you know, but I do like the movie.

I agree.

I've always loved this movie.

I remember watching it as a kid.

Yeah.
