This is Obscure.

The podcast in which I read Jude the obscure out loud and comment on it as I go.

To visit the, let's say, sex starved Jude, the sex withholding, Sue, the cuckholed, the cuckholded Richard Philleton, though not literally at this point because

they have not consummated the act, so I don't think technically that is cuckoldry but it will be fun to

call him to sneer at him that he is a cuck because that is what the kids do these days. They just call people cucks.

And last we met, chapter the fifth had given us Jude and Sue visiting various hotels and talking about whether or not they should do it as it were and

Sue feeling betrayed because he had slept with his wife and throwing the fact that she had jumped out of a window in his face as if that was some virtuous act and not some stupid act of I don't even know what you call it, panic?

Panic, is that it? I guess.

Here's a theory.

And again, you know I have not read anything about you, the obscure,

I don't know anything about what other people are saying about it or have

said about it.

I don't know, I don't know nothing, right?

Now part of me feels like, oh, that's a mistake.

Like you should have done a little research before you started reading the book

part of me is like no it's like when I go see a movie I don't want to know anything about it I don't

know I don't want to know the plots I don't want to know what other critics are saying

if I have an interest in the movie I just want to see it with as fresh eyes as possible.

So I'm going to put out a theory that may ring true for kind of academic circles of the modern day because it's sort of it would be sort of like a you know a trendy theory I think if it's not already out there probably is

So here's my theory that Sue is a lesbian.
