you're listening to this. Today, I have unfortunately another unsolved case for you guys, but it's an interesting

one because it was solved at one point and there was a conviction and then an acquittal.

And so technically it's unsolved. But yeah. So we're just going to get into it. In the early

1970s, James Jimmy Guess was working at an ice skating rink in Chicago, Illinois.

And he was in his early 20s.

And while working there, he met a woman named Cynthia.

And they quickly fell for each other.

They started dating and they were together for seven years before they became pregnant.

But unfortunately, even before their baby was born, they decided to separate.

It was a mutual decision.

They were kind of like, we don't work together anymore.

Like, this isn't going to work long term.

So they mutually decided to separate.

But when their daughter,

Jacqueline Marie, was born on May 17th, 1981, both Jimmy and Cynthia wanted full custody.

Oh. And unfortunately, that led to a very bitter custody battle. And they were not married,

right? They were just partners. As far as I could find, they were not married. But they were both on the birth certificate. And so they both have equal custody.

And it was this very bitter custody battle. And it actually ultimately ended with Cynthia getting full custody.

Okay.

I mean, that makes sense.

They typically, unless there's a reason not to, they typically, you know,
