Japan here in May of 2025 with episode 477 of the Corporate Report podcast, Reportage, book launch. Story time. So back when I was a kid,

when I was nine or ten years old, my parents shipped me out one day to go to a creative writing

workshop, an all-day workshop event that was taking place somewhere in my local area,

probably just as a way to get me out of the house during a long summer vacation.

And you know what? During the course of that day and spending time doing little writing exercises and talking about writing

and realizing I really do like writing and I like books, I came to the decision that I'm going to be a writer.

That was way back when I was 10 years old and ever since then, it's always been a core part of my identity. I'm going to be a writer. That was way back when I was 10 years old, and ever since then,

it's always been a core part of my identity. I'm a writer. I like words. I like language. I like

writing. I've always wanted to inform and hopefully entertain people with my words.

And yes, I think I did accomplish that with the Corbett Report in different ways. Obviously,

audio, visual, textual work, but not quite a finished published book. I've always wanted to be a

published author. Well, here we are decades later after coming to that decision. And wouldn't you know it, that dream is now a reality, a physical published book called
