calling things by their right name, which I hope my well-informed audience knows by now is the title

of a recent Solutions Watch exploration of the importance of finding the right nomenclature

for things. Well, obviously one that pertains to a lot of the importance of finding the right nomenclature for things.

Well, obviously one that pertains to a lot of the subject matter that I cover

and that I have no doubt that Corbett reportiers have heard

if they have ever tried to spread this information to others

is the old conspiracy theorist slur slash pejorative slash thought-stopping cliche.

Oh, you're a conspiracy theorist, which of course is meant as a label to thereby essentially

say that you are crazy or imply that you were crazy and that anything you have to say on any matter can be dismissed

out of hand.

And so you might have noticed that I have attempted to cede the counter to that thought-stopping

cliche into my own vernacular, and I would like to hope that it catches on.

No, I'm a conspiracy realist, which very quickly, I think,

reframes that pejorative slash slur, the conspiracy theorist slur, into something that is

immediately understandable, but also flips it on its head. No, I'm a conspiracy realist,

as in conspiracies happen all the time, and I am realistic about that. What are you? Are you unrealistic?

Anyway, I like to think that that's one way of getting under the hood of what is going on with that
