And away we go, episode 474 of the Algoldi podcast, it is Thursday, December 29, 2022,

0:28.0

the commander's quarterback decision is in Carson Wentz, is the team's new starting quarterback,

0:36.3

replacing a benched Taylor Heinecke, what we expected to happen has in fact happened.

0:43.6

For the record, I am on board with this decision. I do think that there is logic behind going

0:50.2

with Carson as the QB1A. He does offer more upside than Taylor does be. Maybe the biggest

0:57.1

advantage that Taylor had over Carson, the ability to avoid the sack, really has it been much

1:03.5

of an advantage lately. And Taylor has been turning the ball over a ton via sack strip laws

1:09.1

fumbles. See Carson's second go round as the commander's starting quarterback this season

1:14.5

should be better than the first go round given that he's more comfortable with the offense

in the team in theory has more of an offensive identity. And the overall offensive output with

1:25.5

Taylor as a starting quarterback has not been very good. But look, things certainly could

1:42.0

of the San Francisco 49ers. And ultimately the commander's offensive line from a pass protection

1:48.3

standpoint this season is quite bad. And so it may not matter who the team starting quarterback is.

1:54.4

This is such a rare situation. An NFL team in possession of a playoff spot super late in a

2:00.9

regular season making a change at quarterback. But this is the situation for our commanders for

2:07.9

whom many things are quite rare. Hello and welcome to this Thursday installment of the Algoldi

2:13.6

podcast Wednesday morning. Well, some of you were having your morning coffee while some of you

2:19.1

were at the gym while some of you were doing the walk a shame. Hey, don't worry. We don't judge

2:24.0

on this podcast. The commanders tweeted out their quarterback decision. The commanders in a tweet

2:31.0

at 805 Eastern on Wednesday morning said that Carson Wens will be the team starting quarterback
