Welcome to this special half episode of Startups for the Rest of Us. I'm your host, Rob Walling.

0:05.0

This is going to be a short episode. I just wanted to get in your earbuds because we've just made

0:09.5

what I considered to literally be the biggest announcement in microcom's history since we launched it.

0:16.1

Back in 2011, we're approaching a decade now. And we announced it via a video announcement today. It's about a six

0:24.4

minute, six and a half minute video. And I don't want to spoil it for you, but let's just say it's

0:29.1

about expanding microcomf. It's about trying to help more founders for basically less expense,

0:35.5

especially to the early stage founders. It's about a lot of stuff we're up to in 2020 and even in 2021.

0:42.3

So I'm going to have my editor just cut in the audio of that announcement right after this.

0:48.3

If you want to see the video, I'd encourage you to go to YouTube and search for our username. We're MicroConf. And we have several

0:56.0

videos there. Subscribe to that YouTube channel because we are going to be pushing more live on our

1:00.0

YouTube channel. We really have never used it. We have a couple curated playlists already.

1:04.8

The top five highest rated microcomf talks ever and another one, another top five list. And then you'll see, you know, this, this microconve 2020, 2021 update there.

1:15.1

And you can watch the full video, including See Me on the new camera rig I bought about

1:19.8

three or four months ago.

1:21.2

I implemented the wistia soapbox station.

1:24.4

And it's really nice.

1:25.0

It has a built-in LED light and a nice camera and everything.

1:27.7

So it's kind of fun that while the audio is good, the video is really cool and has a lot of

1:32.3

animations and slide-ins and stuff that I think make it a pretty dynamic presentation.

1:36.5

So without further ado, let's hear about the future of microconf.

1:47.5

Hi, I'm Rob Walling, the co-founder of Microcom. Thanks so much for taking the time today to tune into our biggest announcement since we started
