Des Moines. We talk about U.S. men's soccer. Welcome everyone to the 2018 finale of Scuffed. Three of us are present by telephone, Joey, Matt, and Bells, and

Here are the rules.

Only U.S eligible players born in 1997 or later are allowed.

That means pretty much 21 or younger as the title of the

episode indicates. Anyone already capped with the senior men's national team is

disqualified. That excludes, for instance, Pulisic McKinney, Adams, Sergeant, Woeia, even though they are age eligible.

Rule number three, we're picking specifically with the goal of assembling the best possible team in

2026. So this is long term. This is speculative. This is ultimately futile.

It's the Scuff podcast at its best. Rule number four, we each need to come up with a 20 man roster, including

two goalkeepers. And rule number five, dual nationals are allowed, so long as they've accepted a youth national team call up at some

point and are not captied by another nation.

We've already drawn straws and Matt gets the first pick followed by me then Joey we're going to try to move

quickly take a break after the first 10 rounds come back for the second 10 rounds take

another break and then we're going to argue about whose team is best. I might end up arguing that my team is the

worst, but that's just me. 30 second limit for each choice, a rule that will be

enforced loosely.
