Syrian rebel leaders say they are now in full control of the strategic city of Homs after

government forces withdrew. The city's capture leaves the

road to Damascus open for the main rebel offensive from the north, while opposition factions in the

south are already on the capital's doorstep. Syrian rebels advanced toward the capital city

of Damascus on Saturday, as front lines collapsed across the country, posing an existential threat to President Bashar al-Assad's 24-year rule.

Syrian rebel forces have toppled the Syrian regime, and tonight the ousted president Bashar al-Assad is in Moscow after fleeing Syria.
