The Emperor's Own, Part 2.

First, I want to apologize for the unscheduled one-week break in the show.

It was due to a technical issue that I was unable to fix in time to get a show out.

I apologize, I'm taking steps to make sure it does not happen again.

Now then, we have some quick housekeeping before we get started. I have three quick announcements this week. First, as those of you who are on the Facebook page know,

the History of Japan podcast is now available through Stitcher. If you're not familiar with that service, it's an

online platform for streaming through your desktop or laptop, so that should make things a little

more convenient for those of you who listen at work through a computer rather than, say, an iPod.

Second, I've just received some rather exciting news, which could make things a little tricky

for the show this summer.

As I think I've mentioned before, I also study China in addition to Japan, and I've received

funding to go to China this summer.

This does mean I'm going to be pretty busy, but hopefully I should be able to still get shows

out fairly regularly. However, because of the issues involved not only with study abroad, but hopefully I should be able to still get shows out fairly regularly. However,

Firewall of China, I'm not entirely sure how it's going to work. But I shouldn't be missing any

more than a week or two of shows at most. I'll update you with more information as it becomes

available.

Finally, we're coming up in a few weeks on the one-year anniversary of the show getting started.

I figured that for that, a fun thing to do would be to have a Q&A show.
