Welcome to a Sunday afternoon of Baseball Weekly here on the fan, Ryan Donaldson, guiding the Covenant today.

And the twins right now, just for an update, tied at four, top of the 10th inning, and Ricky Weeks.

Just had a single with one out to give the Brewers one runner on. And a 4-4 ballgame. We'll keep tabs on that game as it progresses. But, guys, it's been a fun month to watch Trevor Plouffe. And we're going to jump right in because 40 minutes of this show, it would be hard to talk about anything but Trevor Plouf. We will. But guys, 13 home runs in the last month of baseball for Trevor Plouf.

He's been unbelievable, Aaron.

I mean, obviously that's a stretch we haven't seen from any Twins hitter that I can recall.

But what makes it twice as remarkable is that I really think he was on the verge of potentially being designated for assignment.

He was hitting 133, I think, on May 15th.

He was barely playing.

They demote Valenciated to a AAA that opens up third base, and they basically say,

this is your shot, to Plouf.

I mean, he's 26 years old.

This is it.

Not only has he been amazing power-wise, but I think he's actually been pretty solid defensively at third base, at least relative to Valencia. Now all of a sudden, you know, he's moving up in the order. He's, along with Willingham, the only right-handed power bats, and now it's tough to envision a scenario where he's not a big part of this lineup for the next couple

years. I mean, maybe we're overreacting a little bit to what is basically, you know, 23, 24

games. But he also had a huge stretch last year at AAA. And even when he was struggling overall

with the twins, between that huge AAA stretch and this recent stretch, he was showing power. And I know
