On this episode of Neutral, I wanted to talk about President Biden's recent announcement

to forgive $10,000 of college loan debt to single borrowers,

making less than $125,000, and to couples making less than $250,000 a year.

Biden's announcement last week has made those in the college loan debt grateful for the relief,

and those who've already paid off their college loans, and those who never went to college,

raising questions about fairness.

But as everyone reacts to the announcement and takes their sides,

we need to better understand the root cause of the student loan debt crisis in America.

Is it the spiraling cost of college tuition?

Easy access to student loans?

Loaning large sums of money to students who may not be able to pay it back?

Or is it even more complicated than that?
