| 0:00.0 | What's good internet? It's January 14th 2022 and you're listening to Waypoint Radio episode 454. I'm your host Rob Zackney and I'm joined by Patrick Kleppick. |
| 0:29.8 | Listening to I like the weird energy we're starting with. Hello. Hello. I'm here. We did some major shit talking cut from the body beforehand and then we just roll right into this thing. |
| 0:41.8 | What if I just bleep everything that is |
| 0:45.8 | uh, that's viable. It is the beep on the beep beep and that beep said beep beep. |
| 0:54.8 | Also, if we leave it to our listeners, imaginations, they will imagine stuff that is so much worse than the less and not the worst than what we were actually talking about. |
| 1:02.8 | True. Anyway, once again, cleaning up our pre show, making this all hang together, our producer, Ricardo Contreras. |
| 1:10.8 | Yo, how are you awake? |
| 1:12.8 | It's two, but I'm still asleep. It's two in the afternoon, Kato. |
| 1:18.8 | Yeah, but you aren't you sleeping bad? I'm sleeping bad. Are you sleeping bad? Did you fix it? |
| 1:23.8 | I'm sleeping terribly. No, no, I'm not fixed. Like we're slowly flying our way back to like, I'm almost getting six hours a night. |
| 1:33.8 | Here's my mistake. Yeah. My mistake today was not having coffee until two o'clock. It is now two 10. |
| 1:42.8 | Kato applying his definition of lunch to coffee. Yeah. You're like proving a point where you want to give a bet. |
| 1:48.8 | No, I made myself a match a latte because it was like, that's going to be delicious. Thinking that I didn't need the coffee yet. |
| 1:57.8 | And then one rolls around and I'm like, I should have had a coffee. What are ways I thinking? |
| 2:03.8 | So I will say like there was, I feel like this cup, this comes and goes in like discourse, but during one of the waves of people being like, you know, really, we just get hooked on coffee. |
| 2:14.8 | We don't actually need a cup of cold water in the morning is all you need to wake you up. |
| 2:19.8 | And I know that because I have a coffee in like 12 years. And so during one of those I was like, you know, I am pretty dependent on coffee. |
| 2:29.8 | Maybe I should see what's on the other side of like not being dependent on coffee. So I went through like weeks of feet like dealing with withdrawal headaches, which were pretty bad. |
| 2:38.8 | And get to a point where like, I don't need coffee. And my life was worse. |
| 2:43.8 | Like I went through all of that and I was like, you know, really? I just feel slightly less focused and more tired. |
| 2:53.8 | And I really miss having coffee in the morning. So we good job. We went to all of this to discover that life could be like the same, but marginally less worse. |
| 3:04.8 | But you wouldn't be dependent on that thing that every day reliably made you feel better. |
