There are quite a few things happening, but definitely President Trump's moves to exit the WHO is really front and center here this week.

But it's a one-year-long process.

So on day one of President Trump's new administration, he signed an executive order to kickstart the process of leaving, of exiting the WHO.

That's going to take a year.

So that will only be in effect

in January 26. That being said, the membership fees, the annual membership fees for

2024, 2025, supposedly are still due, but President Trump's administration is refusing to pay that,

leading to the WHO members here this week, including Tedros, Gavariezi, the Director General,

to be shedding quite a few tears about the slash in budgeting,

because that represents about 260 million

US dollars that won't be included in the WHO coffers this year. So you've had quite a few discussions

about that. There was as well as side panel today talking about the fallout and the slash of budgeting due to the U.S. pulling out of the WHO.
