I wanted to devote an episode to the uniquely American tradition and history of Thanksgiving.

When we imagine the first Thanksgiving, we think of the Mayflower Pilgrims and Native Americans,

gathered together at a long table outside celebrating with a feast.

In fact, what we consider the first Thanksgiving was celebrated on October 1621,
