Summary

Sci Fi December continues with a look at the 1986 film from Georgiy Daneliya, Kin Dza Dza. It’s the story of two men who are transported to the planet Pluke where they have to navigate the barren landscape and strange cultures of the people there.

I had not, but having seen it and having seen a lot of people who I think were influenced by it now, I think maybe I have seen aspects of it that now feel familiar.

It's watching it's a bit like having deja vu if you've ever enjoyed Terry Gilliam or any of that sort of check, mystical realism stuff that Terry Gilliam drew from. So, no, this was my first time, though it feels as though I may have once seen it in a dream.

How about you, Dan? I'd seen bits, but not the whole thing. This was also a first time watch for me. I'd had this film for years on DVD and that eventually, even though I hadn't seen it, I upgraded to Blu-ray. Silly me. Oh, is there a Blu-ray?
