We, uh, wasn't the prettiest tiger series, and actually the tiger series drags on, uh, tomorrow is a fourth game of it. It's one of these weird wraparound series where they play the whole

1:07.1

weekend and then they come back Monday and play a fourth game against the same team. So let's

1:10.7

hope that the twins take care of business there but bigger i mean within that is

uh i just watched the tampa bay raise sweep the cleveland indians very nice the twins

fashion which we're going to talk about a very interesting debut at the end of that game. But it's a five and a half game lead now, which is, I look this up, the biggest since July 15th. So we're talking a month and a half since the leads been. Right about the time. People started being in panic. I was right about the time I was coming out of the All-Star break, we beat them two out of three. Yes, but then the twins lost two to the Mets, and they went and lost that. We won't have to go through that. But I wonder if at the, like, after the first two games of that series, the Twins won, and then they lost the Sunday game when Santana hit a home run off. Trevor May. Trevor May gave up the home run. Why do you have to... I think it was five and a half coming into that game. Could have been. Here's the thing. Five and a half now is much bigger than five and a half six weeks ago. Yeah. Six weeks ago. It'll be a lot bigger in two weeks.

2:18.3

Right.

2:18.6

But what I mean is six weeks ago, there were 60 games left.

2:22.8

Now there are what, 26 games left, something like that, roughly?

2:27.1

You know, at some point here, you know, the math starts to really play into the twins' favor.

2:32.0

Now, with that said, you know, this is our opening segment schedule breakdown, which I feel like we've been doing every week for the whole season. But like I said, the twins now finish up this four-game series tomorrow against Detroit, which is very odd. Let's assume they win that one. Then they got three in Boston against the Red Sox. And, you know, the Red Sox are not going to make the playoffs, but going into Fenway Park

2:52.3

against that lineup is always very, very scary.

2:55.3

And then the twins go back home and host Cleveland for the weekend series, which is going to be huge.

3:01.8

I mean, they're at the point where, you know, if they can even take one out of three versus Boston

3:07.4

and then take two out of three, let's say, at home against Cleveland, you're going to end that week up somewhere between five and seven games. Going three and three this week would be nice. Right. Four and three, because the Tigers are good point. Let's hope Gardy lies down like they have been. To the Indians who have won, by the way, 14 in a row against the Tigers this season. Now, four or three in this week is a victory. I mean, in fact, and then the following week, when they face three games versus the nationals at home here, and then three games on the road to Cleveland. Three and three, there would be a victory as well. I mean, this is going to be a hell of a two-week stretch here. Yeah, right. In part because they got the two series head-to-head against Cleveland, and then the other two series are both against, you know, good teams. The nationals are going to make the playoffs. Maybe a great team. And, I mean, you're still talking about the defending champs who have a lineup full of slugging at Fenway. So that's very scary. You make it through that gauntlet, and there is literally nothing else to trip you up. Right. I mean, look, you still have to take care of business over the last, whatever, 15, 16 games. But from basically September 15th through the end of the regular season, it's just Royals, White Sox,. Tigers, white socks, royals over and over.
