I'm your host, Kevin Avery, and joining me as always. He's a brilliant film critic and an author, and a man whose motto should be, bake it till you make it. It's Alonzo Dorale. What's good? I need a motto, Kevin. I don't know why I have I not had one at this point. What's good with me? Well, you know, the two days after this episode drops is Super Bowl Sunday.

And what's good is everything that isn't football about Super Bowl Sunday.

You know, the halftime show is always worth watching.

The ads are, you know, fascinating or infuriating or, you know, at least worth a look as a cinema, if nothing else.

They certainly very often, like, are very elaborate and complicated and, you know, that kind of thing.

And it is, I believe, our national holiday to just eat the worst stuff possible.

Not that Americans need a designated day for this, but I'll take it.

Because as somebody who tries to move for the most part, like, eat my vegetables and, you know, like try and not just go nuts.

Super Bowl Sunday, all bets are off.

So I'm making Frito pie.

I'm making Rotel dip.

I'm making the little smokies in the grape jelly

and chili sauce in the crock pot.

Like the whole thing. Am I

watching the game? Of course not.

But I am enjoying

the ritual of the thing.
