songwriting. Once again we've pulled out all the stops to bring you a fabulous

guest and well our efforts have been rewarded and then some.

For joining us today is an enviably gifted New Zealand singer-songwriter whose mellifluous voice,

sensitive, insightful lyrics and memorable melodies have been charming

listeners worldwide for well over 30 years.

It's the brilliant Neil Finn OBE.

I suppose you could say that in a sense we went to the ends of middle earth to get hold of me

nice but yeah we are absolutely delighted to have the opportunity to pick the brains of this

outrageously talented kiwi songbird.

You want to glean the benefits of his considerable wisdom

that he's acquired during the course of his long career.

He's someone whose body of work we've admired for many years,

a real master of the craft,

with such an assuredness and tastefulness in his writing,

lyrically and musically.

He's just one of those artists that seems to ooze melody from every poor.

He should probably seek medical advice. Perhaps an ointment.
