So welcome to another episode of mama bear apologetics. I'm Hillary and I'm Amy and so we're going to kind of

continue on with what we were doing in the previous podcast where we were

talking about do Christians think that atheists can't be good without God.

And this is going through chapter five

of Richard Dawkins' book, Outgrowing God,

which is a book that's intended to bring a lot

of the new atheist arguments to a children's audience, which of course isn't that what everybody wants their children to be reading?

So in the previous episode we kind of gave the background for what we're going to be talking about and so we're going to go ahead and kind of review what we talked about and go over the quotes that are the main crux of what Dawkins is talking about in chapter 5.

Amy, do you want to read those for us again the first main quote?

So Doc can start off by saying I'm sorry to say that lots of people seem to think

that you need to believe in some sort of God, any kind of higher power in order to have any chance of being moral, of being good.

Without belief in a higher power, you'd have no basis for knowing right from wrong, good from bad, moral from immoral.
