| 0:00.0 | What's up you guys? I'm Haley, and this is Inhuman, a true crime podcast. Welcome back, everybody. It is just me today. We had some schedule issues with some travel, |
| 0:32.4 | but I am here. And I am going to give you a case today that has really, really impacted me. |
| 0:41.1 | So this case started on August 19th, 2017, which means we just passed the eight-year anniversary. |
| 0:51.0 | And I feel like I was meant to cover this case this week because I randomly just selected it |
| 0:56.6 | from our list of suggested cases. And this one was actually pretty early on, which means it was |
| 1:02.3 | probably suggested in like 2021 or 2022. And I just randomly chose this one, started researching. |
| 1:09.4 | And then I realized the date, August 19th, was exactly eight years ago from the day that I was starting my research, August 19th, 2025. |
| 1:19.3 | So I just felt like I was meant to cover this case, and it is really stuck with me. |
| 1:26.1 | It is extremely heartbreaking, but the victim deserves to be |
| 1:31.0 | remembered. So with that, let's just get into it. Savannah LaFontaine Greywind was eight months |
| 1:38.8 | pregnant working at a senior care facility in Fargo, North Dakota. She was a member of the Spirit Lake Nation of North Dakota, and she became another victim of the |
| 1:49.5 | systemic injustice experienced by way too many missing and murdered indigenous people in the |
| 1:54.5 | United States. Thankfully, her case was eventually solved, but there has still been |
| 2:00.3 | criticism from how it was handled. |
| 2:03.6 | On August 19, 2017, 22-year-old Savannah, who lived with her parents in North Fargo, |
| 2:10.3 | went upstairs to another apartment to help her neighbor with a sewing project. |
| 2:14.7 | So her parents said she was modeling a dress for that neighbor, and she went |
| 2:18.6 | over around 1.30 or 2 p.m. By 5.30 p.m., she didn't come home. And Savannah's parents were |
| 2:26.4 | immediately concerned. She wasn't supposed to be that long. She didn't have her car or wallet with her, |
| 2:31.7 | which made her parents think, you know, she wouldn't have left the apartment building. She was just going up there to help her neighbor out real quick. So they pretty quickly |
| 2:39.5 | reported her missing. And while it took a little bit of time, eventually searches for Savannah |
| 2:46.0 | began. They searched surrounding areas, but there was no sign of her. |
