This week,

we're broadcasting live from the Gwynnall Theater discussing the 2007 supernatural horror film, Dead Silence. This film marked the second collaboration between director James Wan

and screenwriter Lee Winnel. While the film wasn't nearly as successful as the pair's

previous feature, Saw, it possesses

the seeds of what would eventually bloom in both the conjuring and insidious film franchises.

Though seemingly disowned by both Juan and Wynnell due to their negative experiences during

the film's production, Dead Silence still remains a spooky, atmospheric feature that has maintained

a cult following over the years.

What were your first impressions on the film?

I think the first time I seen this movie, I watched it with my oldest daughter and the kids.

And it was hard for me to pay attention because I was washing dishes.
