Summary

Mason Roberson was 16 when he disappeared from his family's home in Oceanview, Anchorage. Around 6:00 AM, his parents confronted him about drinking. Angry, Mason ran away. Security cameras showed him walking down Venus Way, looking upset, then showed him bashing his phone on the ground. Mason has no phone, ID, or bank card, so tracking him has been nearly impossible. Mason’s family continues to hold out hope, emphasizing that there is no blame—only love and open arms waiting for him. If you have any information about Masons whereabouts or disappearance, please call the Anchorage Police at (907) 786-2627 – Case # 24-12554. You can also call NCMEC at 1-800-THE-LOST. Before we get started with today's case, I wanted to hop on here really quickly and talk about the Camp Mystic tragedy.

0:10.7

If you're unfamiliar with this, basically on July 4th in the really early morning hours, a sudden flash flood devastated Camp Mystic, which is a Christian Girl summer camp in Texas,

0:26.7

and the Guadalupe River, which is close by to the camp, surged over 26 feet in less than an hour,

0:35.6

sweeping through cabins while most of the campers were still asleep.

0:41.5

And sadly and unfortunately and tragically, this event claimed dozens of lives, many of them,

0:53.1

the young girls from the camp, and there's still

0:55.8

several other people missing. As it stands right now, they have pulled more than 850 people

1:02.8

to safety, and 11 campers and one counselor remain missing as of Sunday night, July 6th, and tragically, at least 80 people have

1:18.0

died because of this horrific event. I just want to say that our hearts go out to the Kerr County community, to anyone who was affected by

1:30.6

this horrific tragedy. We're praying for you guys. We are keeping you in our thoughts.

1:37.9

I cannot imagine what these families are going through right now. And, you know, to all the rescuers who have been

1:47.5

assisting in this, my thoughts go out to them as well. You know, some of them have lost their

1:53.6

lives. And it's just an absolutely horrible, horrible thing that has happened. And I just wanted, it didn't feel right to not speak on it.

2:04.3

And I just want, you know, everyone to know that we are thinking of them. And for you guys to also please be praying and thinking of this community and all those affected by this flood.

2:18.5

What's up, you guys? I'm Andrea.

Thank you. Welcome back, everybody. Today's case, we're going to be discussing a disappearance.

2:53.5

This case was suggested by one of our listeners, and it is a more recent case, like really recent, like 2024. Okay. And sadly,

3:00.8

there has not been many developments in this case, which is obviously one of the reasons why I'm

3:07.4

sharing it.

3:08.3

But yeah, I guess we'll just get right into it.
