Surinato, does it ever make sense to file a recusal motion against a judge overseeing your case?

So, in a mood that surprised no one, Trump, through his lawyers, has requested Judge Tucken, the judge that's

overseeing his federal January 6th case prosecution in DC to recuse and basically he is alleging as

he does with pretty much anyone who's not judged alien cannon that she is

biased and can't be impartial in terms of overseeing his case.

So that's what prompted our kickoff topic.

Though I think this is a broader question

because we've seen this question come up in other contexts.
