Child abuse was viewed differently in the 80s than what it is today.

And there were people in the church that knew.

There were plenty of people that knew what was going on.

They figured out what my dad was about.

And I remember thinking as a young boy, like, why is nobody doing anything?

We'd go to church, and then I'd hear the stories about Jesus, and I'd hear about righteousness,

and I'd hear about the Bible.

But then I'd see my dad act the way he did towards me and towards my mom.

And then I just would ask myself, why, if this stuff is true, if God, what he says the

church is supposed to be, if that's the correct view, why is, why does no one intervene?

Why is there nobody to save me from this?
