This week, we're going to focus on the aftermath of the Trump verdict and ponder what's next.

But there have been some other things on the radar that are

worth exploring. Take, for instance, the news at Larry Hogan, the Republican nominee for the

Senate in Maryland, whose candidacy has made the state an unanticipated battleground race,

wrote before the verdict came in that regardless of the verdict,

Americans should respect the legal process.

That didn't go well with the party line and R&C co-chair Lara Trump, Donald's daughter-in-law,

who said this to CNN's Casey Hunt.

He doesn't deserve respect of anyone in the Republican Party at this point.
