I'm wondering why I'm talking about, well, if it sounds a bit strange, A, it's because

I've had this weird sore throat thing all week, which has made me sound quite ill, but

I haven't, haven't necessarily felt ill.

The other reason is that it's 6am on Friday morning.

This is the second intro to this particular podcast.

The other reason I'm speaking quite slowly is that my office in the house is upstairs

and across the hall is the blog ads bedroom, my daughter's bedroom.

She's home for Christmas and she's probably asleep.

I don't necessarily want to wake her up.

I did the intro yesterday because I was in town in the city center of Dublin doing my

final bits of Christmas shopping.

And you know, as is the custom this time of year, you go for a pint.

That's just what happens.

Thursday afternoon, it's 2 o'clock or what, you know, why not?

Let's go for a pint.

So when for a pint and then had another pint and then had another pint and then called

into a friend to drop off a Christmas bottle of wine and they opened a bottle of wine.

So we drank the wine and then by the time I got home, I was feeling quite lubricated,
