your reader your confidant your literary man-splainer well we your

literary, man-splainer. Well, we have a big episode in store for you today

because for only the fourth time we are starting a new part, part the fourth.

Part the third ended much like all of the previous parts, which is to say with Jude being bitterly disappointed or about to have

his hope stashed or making some plan which will inevitably be foiled by fate.

Kismet is not his friend, but who knows?

Perhaps he's about to turn the corner.

He's about to go see Sue.

She's gotten married and he's taken leave from the cathedral where he works and he's about to go part the fourth at Shastin which is where Sue is currently residing and it starts with a little quote from Milton

profess papist or Protestant or what he will he is no better than a Pharisee.

All right.

I mean, so I guess what he's saying is if you choose essentially institutions ahead of the good of man and charity, then you can say whatever

you want to, you can say whatever you want to be you can say I'm a

Catholic or I'm a Protestant or whatever I am but you're no better than a

Pharisee and I don't know what's wrong in the fire with the Pharisees but I

know they were spoken ill of in the Bible

for all their, you know, Phariseying around.
