Well, I hope your guys' week was as good as mine. I had a great week.

I got to travel with my best buddy Todd, Fox, who we've been friends for about 20 years and have been road-tripping every chance we get

and those chances have become fewer and far between.

But we drove way up out of the way up to Route 66 and took it on out to O'Kima, Oklahoma.

We got to see things like the world's largest totem pole and foil, Oklahoma.

Got to see a giant blue whale in Catusa, Oklahoma.

Got to see Route 66 drive-in in Carthage, Missouri.

And we even drove way on out to Fort Sill so we could see Geronimo's grave.

But we ended up making it to Okima, Oklahoma.

And I played the Woody Guthrie Folk Festival.

It was a really good time.

Got to see a whole lot of friends that I hadn't seen in a while, folks like Ramsey Midwood,

my buddy Grant Peoples, Tim Easton, who I see around East Nashville quite a lot.

But Jimmy LaFave, Sam Baker, just so many people i know i'm gonna forget somebody

saw nancy apple got to see john fulbright and terry ware anyway played the gig and uh

the folks that put on the festival were just really nice to me they treated me great and i met a lot

of nice people you know everybody that put on the festival or just all volunteers

and the artists that play it

play for free.

We went ahead and went all the way out there

and I wanted to be part of it for a while

so when I got asked to do it this year,
