unofficial podcast episode number 41 for May 15th 2016. I am so happy that it's Ride the Lightning Time because that means it's been

a week because I spent a good chunk of the last week knocked out by the stomach flu. That wasn't fun. It was about

three days of just torture and then a fourth recovery day missed a good bit of work this week, but my goodness it is so much of a relief to be feeling better.

So let's get right to it. First up in Tesla News this week, Hanukt Tire has been chosen as the main supplier for the

Model 3, at least according to a report in the Korea Times.

So this is not confirmed. We don't have an official announcement by Tesla, but according

to the Korea Times, that is indeed the case. Now the question I have about this is, is that going to be for everything? Is that going to be for the standard size?

Because that's my guess. My suspicion here is that the standard tire and wheel on the model three, which we don't

know yet, we've only seen the 20 inch options, the arrow wheel on the mat finish car and then the more turbine

style that we've seen on the the silver prototype which has been the one that of course Tesla's been doing

all the photography and and other sort of media and promotions with thus far but and

those the the the 20s so far at least on the prototypes are of course as we talked a lot about last week

Michelin pilot super sports the Hen cooks are by all accounts a pretty good tire. I've had one set of them on my infinity

Which are the 19 inch sort of low profile tires and they treated me just fine and in fact the the thread about

this on the Tesla Motors Club forum echoed a lot of those same sentiments

that they're a pretty good tire for the money you know they're not the top end best thing but they're they're

far from the worst I know the worst tire I've put on my that at least the tire

worst tire that I've used which you know I have only myself I got what I paid for

...
