Okay, welcome to the show this week.

But before we really get into the meat of today's episode, I really need to make an announcement.

We obviously live in a very difficult time where public figures, they come and go, like the tides, the changing of the seasons, the waxing and waning, moon, whatnot.

And obviously, we are gathered here today to make a tribute to someone who dearly departed yesterday, dearly departed this world

who, whose fame and accomplishments and impact on this world will far out last their time

here and who deserves far more tribute than we could ever give

them. I'm of course referring to the racehorse Haru Arura Urara. I said I fucked up her name.

I told myself I wouldn't cry if you brought this up.

There's a really great documentary if you get a chance called, I think it's something to the effect of the patron saint of losers everywhere or something like that.

Uh-huh.

But actually, I do get a little misty out.

Harurara lost 110 straight races.

Uh-huh.

And in Japan, her losing racing totes became a, uh, became good luck symbols,

kind of like rabbit's feet, almost.

Mm-hmm.

And she passed away yesterday at the ripe old age of 29.

Pretty good run for a racehorse, honestly.
