Whoa, I'll tell you, Kevin, we're pretty much out of pride at this point, where we're in our last weekend.

And so I wanted to give a shout out to another queer film book that's out there that I'm a big fan of. It is Michael Koreski's Sick and Dirty.

The subhead is Hollywood's gay golden age and the

making of modern queerness. And Koreski takes a really interesting tack in that he is looking at

films of the past that a lot of contemporary queer scholars and activists might look at as being,

you know, negative portrayals or, you know, sort of reflecting like the, the limitations of the Hays Code, but talking about how they are sort of still essential to queer audiences, how they speak to so much of the queer experience in terms of what we've all survived, you know, given our societal traumas or familial traumas or

whatever else.

And it's a fascinating take on the subject.

Like I think that the subject of queer cinema offers itself to so many different avenues.
